“Azerbaijan Airlines” (AZAL) has appointed its representative in Malaysia, the Asian travel news agency “TTG Asia” reported on August 29.
This appointment is intended to strengthen the AZAL brand in the Malaysian aviation market and attract Malaysian travelers and leaders of the tourism industry.
Thus, Aviareps Malaysia will assume the role of general sales agent for AZAL in the Malaysian market, taking the responsibility for sales and marketing activities with a focus on regional travel.
“Our appointment of the representative for sales and marketing in Malaysia is a reflection of the growing importance and our commitment to this market,” said Nazim Samedov, the Deputy Minister of Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism
Vinay Rajan, Aviation Director of Aviareps Malaysia said that the initial strategy is to promote the airline and create its market.
“In the absence of direct flights to Malaysia, AZAL provides the ability of flight via Dubai and Istanbul,” he said.
AZAL is a flag carrier of Azerbaijan as well as one of the leaders of the aviation community of CIS countries. AZAL with the newest airplane fleets, consisting of 30 airplanes, does not have a single old plane.
