The Norwegian has carried a record breaking number of 3,059,402 passengers in June 2017. This is the first time in the flight history since 2002 that Norwegian has exceeded 3 million passengers in one single month. Since 2002, it has carried more than 200 million passengers in its aircrafts.
The current strength of the fleet of Norwegian is 112 and all the planes are Boeing 737-800. The planes fly to 132 destinations numbering more than 450 routes, locally and internationally and the number of employees for the year 2016 were 7,000.
Norwegian is the world’s sixth largest low-cost airline and carried around 30 million passengers in 2016. It has been named as Europe’s Best Low-Cost Airline for the fourth consecutive year in 2016 by Skytrax.
In 2017, Norwegian again celebrated double success being voted the world’s best Long Haul Low-coast Airline and the Best Low–cost Airline in Europe.
