The year ended in June 2017 saw the record breaking figures regarding the passengers who went through London Heathrow airport.
In June alone the airport handled 6.76 million passengers and in June 30th, the last day of the year in purview itself there were 259,617. The total passengers for the year ended in June 2017 were more than 77 million. In 2016 the airport saw 75.7 Million passengers.
The Heathrow chief Executive expressed his confidence that London Heathrow would lead as the trade and tourist gateway to all of UK.
This seem to be a feasible position as the number of passengers to and from Middle East and East Asia is growing steadily.
Heathrow is the world’s seventh-busiest airport and the largest of the five primary airports serving London and it serves as the main hub for British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
