Air France jet Boeing 777-200 carrying 294 passengers which departed from Paris towards Vancouver had to land at Prestwick Airport. The aircraft took off at 10.57 on Saturday and had to be diverted due to an emergence of slight smell of burning, which was spotted by cabin crew.
The aircraft had a normal landing at the Prestwick Airport. The deviation has been considered as an act of precaution. The aircraft was allowed to land though the roads around the airport understood to have been closed off for landing at that time.
The plane remained on the runway for some time, refueled and then took off.
No injuries were reported by the Airline.
