Air France-KLM is a European airline holding company with majority stakes in a number of large airlines including Air France (100%) and KLM (100%). The company is registered in France with corporate headquarters in Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Air France-KLM was formed in May-2004 with the merger of Air France and KLM, both SkyTeam members, and both continue to operate under their distinct brands.
There were signs of hostility among these major airline and now it got worsened with the demand for the control over IT operations.
When Air France acquired KLM in 2004 it was agreed that Air France would manage two-thirds of IT operations, KLM the remainder. But as the IT plays an important role in airline operations both are eyeing on procuring control over IT.
