Changi airport turns to robots to keep Terminal 4 clean. Mr Kenneth Ho, senior manager of facilities management of Changi Airport Group (CAG) said other three main passenger terminals also will soon see such cleaning technology, after studies are done on the robots’ efficacy at T4.
He further mentioned that some states of USA and New Zealand use similar technology.
He also intends redesigning of jobs in cleaning different parts of airport such as toilets, car park and floor using some of the new technology partially.
Apart from housekeeping, Changi Airport has introduced automation and technology in the ground handling, security, housekeeping, retail and F&B sectors also which comprise 80 per cent of all employees at the airport.
