A businessman Andrew Wilkinson was was given a “damp seat” full of urine to sit on, when he was travelling from Heathrow to Cape town in British Airways.
Andrew Wilkinson, 39, claimed a BA stewardess gave him wet wipes to mop up the mess when he protested.
The IT consultant said,after finding his in economy, he noticed it was damp and claim that the stewardess agreed the dampness was urine.
But she went to the toilet and returned with “wipes” expecting him to clean up the mess.
He said: “‘I told her, “I can’t sit here” but she just laughed. Her response was, “I can see you are going to work me really hard on this flight, aren’t you?”‘
Mr Wilkinson, who paid £1,242 (A$2016) for his round trip, said he was forced to put a plastic bag over the seat and cover it with a blanket.
Following the flight, Mr Wilkinson took to Twitter to complain to British Airways, who offered him 5000 of their Avios reward points in compensation.
It then upped its apologies, giving him a flight voucher worth £435 (A$706), or a free upgrade on his next flight to Cape Town.
