A static DC-9 flight simulator and three Kiowa helicopters are in public display from today at Australian National Aviation Museum at Moorabbin Airport in Melbourne,Australia.
They are just been unveiled at the hangar, allowing visitors experience the flying by sitting in the simulator cockpit, soar over Melbourne, tackle a thunder storm and land.
Three Kiowa helicopters, which once served the Australian Defence Force, are now on display, expanding the museum’s collection of Australian-built aircraft.
Families are invited to go along the kids to the museum’s annual open cockpit weekend on October 28-29.
The open cockpit event is the museums’ major fundraiser set to feature engine runs, a full range of open cockpits, children’s entertainment, a barbecue and jumping castle.
