Cork airport passengers are now free to fly direct to Boston Providence from October 16th. The Norwegian Air has got the clearance to service this route after a long battle with US Department of Transport which ultimately gave the route permit. This opportunity will boost the business of Cork city through various means.
Norwegian Air has already brought in the Boeing 737 Max 8 to fly this new route from Cork to Providence. The Aircraft could accommodate 189 passengers with lowered emissions due to the noise-suppression. It also offers one way ticket for €99 between October 16 and March 16th next year. Bookings end at midnight on September 18th.
This route will open the gates for the US visitors also to fly directly to Cork and experience the Ireland’s tourism products. This will generate new jobs through the growth in tourism in Ireland.
