Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority witnessed the 50 Tesla electric vehicles unveiled at a ceremony outside the entrance to Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport.
President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, are among other aviation dignitaries attended the ceremony.
According to The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), 50 tesla electric cars have been added to the limo taxi service. Out of 200 cars ordered, 75 cars will be added in 2018 with the final 75 set to be delivered in 2019.
“All the vehicles are equipped with the hardware needed for full self-driving capability at a safety level greater than that of a human driver” Mattar Al Tayer, Director General of RTA said
