Within six months of operation “AVA Air” is forced to close its doors.
The Martinique’s Ava Air was started in March 2017 connecting Caribbean Islands with its only airplane Jetstream 32.
The owners were looking for investors to expand the business, but none accepted the offer.
“Their business model was outdated, an airplane obsolete, and especially a payroll too large compared to the size of the company.” according to the expert, while its competitors are in control over the routes. Three companies, Air Caraïbes, Air Antilles Express and the Liat, have been serving the Caribbean for a very long time.
Since there is no buyers, ‘AVA air’ is filed for liquidation.
