An army cargo plane crashed on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in agriculture field west of the city of Kinshasa in Congo.
“I confirm the crash, it was very early this morning, for now I can not tell you more but there was a crash of an army cargo plane. There are no survivors, “the director of the Régie des Voies aériles (RVA) told local media.
According to senior army official, A military plane with 9 crew and logistics staff was heading to Kalemie, but turned back due to technical issues. Unfortunately the aircraft crashed on to a field on its way back before reaching N’djili airport
However sources close to military said, The plane, had a Russian crew, was carrying “two vehicles and weapons” and around 20-30 military and civilian were on board.
