Colonel Abdisalan Sanyare Owke, the Police chief of airport in Galkayo, Somalia, and his body guard were shot dead.
Though the police has detained the assailant, the motive for the killing is still not clear.
Mahamed Jama, another police officer who is working in the same airport, told that the investigation has started.
The airport is situated in a region named Puntland where a militant group named Al-Shabaab is active, whose aim is to topple the government which they accuse of being backed by the West.
