The Boeing Company, a major Airline manufacturer has decided to carry out a survey on the genuineness of the metals supplied by the Kobe steel co, operating worldwide under the brand Kobelco, which is a major Japanese steel manufacturer.
The source that has knowledge about this matter and wants to remain anonymous, told that the results of the research would be shared among the airline customers.
However, Kobe Steel has acknowledged that there was a falsifying certification in confirmation about the quality of aluminum and copper it sold.
This scandal is a major blow for Japan, as it relies on its quality manufacturing in contrast to the products marketed by China and other counties that offer cheaper alternatives. But now the reputation of Japan for quality is in question.
Though the customers in Arline and Motor car industries are confident that there is no safety issue, the question is about Trust and reliability.
