EasyJet is in the process of negotiating with Air Berlin to take over part of Air Berlin’s operations at Berlin’s Tegel Airport, including aircraft.
EasyJet is a British airline, operating under the low-cost carrier model, based at London Luton Airport. It operates domestic and international scheduled services on over 820 routes in more than 30 countries.
The intended takeover would facilitate the airline to compete with the counterpart airlines, particularly Ryanair.
If the deal gets realised, with acquiring 25 A320 jets, Tegel would be EasyJet’s second-biggest base next to operations at London.
