The Philippine plane, Cebu pacific Airbus A320 Flight 5J461 carrying 180 passengers and 6 crew members veered off the runway in Iloilo City airport in the central Philippines causing the closure of airport operations on Saturday.
The plane ultimately ended up on the grassy field on Friday night. CAAP and Cebu Pacific said they are doing everything to remove the plane from the area.
Since then, Cebu Pacific has cancelled around 41 domestic and international flights to and from Iloilo province.
The runway 20 would remain closed until Sunday 7 p.m., the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said.
