A 27 year old airport worker, employed by BAGS that provides baggage services for around 90 airlines in Thailand, has been caught on camera opening luggage and swiping the contents.
Apparently he was found opening several bags belonging to the passengers of JetStar Flight bound to Singapore and helping himself.
The incident took place in the Luggage compartment of Jetstar at Phuket International Airport, Thailand.
The thieving worker has been arrested and investigated. A Bluetooth speaker has been recovered from him.
A spokesman for Jetstar Airways, an Australian low-cost airline, told that the company has launched an investigation with Airports of Thailand, ground handling company BAGS and the local security company as it taking the matter very seriously.
