An Indonesia AirAsia A320 flight lost cabin pressure and plunge from 32,000ft to 10,000ft shortly after takeoff from Perth, Australia on Sunday 15 October 2017 morning.
The flight QZ535 to Bali, Indonesia, with 145 passengers onboard had to turn back to Perth Airport only after 25 minutes into flight.
At an altitude of 32,000ft aircraft lost cabin pressure and Oxygen masks were dropped. Passengers were ordered to adopt brace position and use the oxygen masks.
Aircraft landed safely at Perth Airport and the passengers were safely disembarked.
Passenger Clare Askew told Seven News people were terrified.”The panic was escalated, because of the behaviour of staff, who were screaming and looked tearful,” Ms Askew said.
Another passenger told Nine News people thought they would die. “I actually picked up my phone and sent a text message to my family, just hoping that they would get it,” Perth woman Leah said.
