Air France is facing a challenge in bringing the damaged Airbus A380 back to France from Goose Bay with the three engines as the aircraft lost the engine no4 including the 10-foot fan.
The plane had to make an emergency landing on September 30 at a remote military airport in Canada last month. After the front fan of one of the engines got disintegrated and experienced a serious shake, the aircraft flew for two hours with three engines before landed at Goose Bay Airport. The passengers waited onboard for two hours until two replacement jets arrived.
One can imagine the nightmare of dealing with this double-decker, superjumbo A380 passenger plane, with three engines and a partly damaged wingspan far greater than any other planes in the world.
The investigators and Engineers are planning together as to how this task of taking back this giant beast to its destination, without which the puzzle of “How this engine failure occurred?” could not be solved.
