While there are merely three more days for the last Air Berlin flight the deal for sale of balance assets of the carrier is still pending.
Air Berlin had its negotiations with only Lufthansa and EasyJet, where agreement with Lufthansa has been reached for large parts of the carrier’s business.
EasyJet has been eyeing on the operations in Tegel airport covering about 25 aircrafts.
In the meantime, Thomas Cook’s German leisure airline Condor also has entered in to the scene, as it had already expressed interest at the time Air Berlin was declaring insolvency. But Air Berlin was having talks with only Lufthansa and EasyJet.
Therefore, with the new turn, Air Berlin has to make up its mind between two bidders, Condor and easyJet
