Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline group in Africa, will be the first in the continent to receive the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on October 27, 2017.
In August 2012 also, Ethiopian was the first in the world outside Japan to receive the B787-8. The 787-9 is 20 feet or 6 meters longer than the 787-8 and has more passenger capacity with 315 seats and more cargo space. All these features are expected to give the passengers an excellent travel experience. Both variants 787-8 and 787-9 offer an unmatched onboard comfort with unique features such as the biggest windows, high ceiling, less noise, distinctive lighting, higher air humidity and 20 percent less fuel gives the users a push.
Ethiopian Airlines has 93 aircraft in its fleet and 20 of them are B787-8s. It currently flies to more than 100 international destinations in five continents.
