Emirates, announced a commitment to purchase 40 B787-10 Dreamliners at the 2017 Dubai Airshow. The deal, including airplanes and related equipment, is valued at $15.1 billion at current list prices.
Emirates’ orders today will be delivered from 2022, taking the airline well into the 2030s. “Some of these will be replacement aircraft so that we can always maintain a young and efficient fleet”.. said Emirates.
According to the U.S. Department of Commerce formula, a deal of this size would support more than 75,000 direct and indirect US jobs.
According to Boeing, The 787-10 is the largest member of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner family, and the fastest-selling twin-aisle airplane in the history of Aviation. To this date, 1283 dreamliners have been ordered by more than 65 customers.
To this date, Boeing received orders and commitments for 211 B787-10 which includes emirates’ commitment of 40 B787-10s.
