Luthansa is involved in restoring the classic examples of its former fleet for display and also allows the flying experience with those aircrafts.
In that effort it has brought back the oldest aircraft, Junkers Ju-52 and re-commissioning it with Lockheed L-1649A Starliner from 1957.
The Junkers Ju-52/3m, is a German transport aircraft manufactured from 1931 to 1952. Initially designed with a single engine but subsequently produced as a trimotor, it saw both civilian and military service during the 1930s and 1940s. It could reach a speed of 265 Kmph and carry 18 passengers. It was originally designed with a single engine but very soon modified to carry three engines, names were changed to Ju-52/1m and Ju-52/3m respectively.
