A British Airways plane and a vehicle crashed on the runway causing delays of up to two hours at Glasgow airport. Emergency services were at the scene after the smash at about 8.45pm. and incoming flights were sent to Glasgow Prestwick Airport.
Cause of the collision between the tug, the vehicle that pushes the plane onto the runway, and the aircraft is believed to be ice. It is not very clear what happened. Whether the tug was pushing back and skidded or the plane skidded? flights were suspended until taxiways and runways were cleared.

The aircraft was stationary at the time of the collision and there were no reports of any injuries.
