A new environmental friendly reusable cups, made from a material as light as bamboo created by Berlin-based designer Julia Schonlau, was introduced at Frankfurt Airport.
Nearly 25,000 disposable cups are used to serve hot beverages every day at the airport and in Germany alone, more than 2.8 million cups land in the trash each year.
This perfect reusable travel cups can be purchased at Frankfurt Airport at a cost of €12.95 including the first filling. All the restaurants in the terminals are involved in this process and they will offer a discount of up to 50 euro cents whenever the customer brings their own reusable container. Then the discount can be donated to an environmental group.
