Vietnam Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines have signed an interline agreement that will allow passengers to purchase LOT tickets through Vietnam Airlines, and vice versa, says Vietnam Airlines in a statement.
Though Vietnam Airlines does not fly to Poland, and LOT to Vietnam, passengers can connect with LOT services at cities on the European network of the Vietnamese carrier especially Paris, Frankfurt, Moscow, and London. They can board a LOT fight to Warsaw, where they can get access to that carrier’s European and Polish networks.
LOT passengers also can fly to a European city served by Vietnam Airlines, where they can get connected to a Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City Service. From there, they can access the Vietnamese carrier’s domestic and regional network.
On top of that these two airlines are members of different alliances. Vietnam Airlines is a member of Skyteam, while LOT is a member of Star Alliance. With a fleet of 54 aircraft, LOT Polish Airlines operates a network to 83 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Asia. With 84 aircraft Vietnam airline flies to 52 destinations in 17 countries, excluding codeshared services.
