Welcome Air (Innsbruck) operated its last flight on December 26, 2017 though it has not issued an official statement on its website yet. The last flight operated between Antwerp and the Innsbruck base. As a result, the last aircraft, Dornier 328-100 OE-LIR was sold.
At its peak operation the Austrian charter airline Welcome Air had five Dornier 328s aircraft and it could carry 33 passengers.
The airline was founded on June 14, 1995. Scheduled operations began on May 22, 2000. The company had a hit in February 2015 when Austrian Airlines announced it would terminate the agreement with Welcome Air to operate the Vienna – Linz route for Austrian. It resulted in the reduction of the fleet.
