Air Astana, the principal airline and the flag carrier of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321neo, registered P4-KDC. The aircraft has been taken on lease from AerCap, configured with 28 business class and 151 economy class seats and powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines.
The airline intends to take delivery of two additional A321neos and one A320neo. It has the plan is to increase its A320neo family fleet to 17 aircraft by 2020.
The total fleet of Air Astana is 32 and includes 13 A320 family, two A320neo family, five Boeing 757-200s, three 767-300ERs, and nine Embraer 190s. The airline also has 20 aircraft on order.
