At Singapore Airshow, Boeing announced to have completed firm configuration of 737 MAX 10, means the engineers have completed the design phase of the airplane. MAX -10 is the largest member of Boeing’s single-aisle family, with fuselage stretched 66 inches longer than its MAX-9, to carry up to 230 passengers.
Though MAX-10 is the Boeing’s answer to Airbus A321neo, it can’t match the extended range of the A321neo LR’s claimed 4,600-mile range.
According to Boeing, the 737 MAX-10 will be powered by CFM International LEAP-1B engines and incorporate Advanced Technology winglets, Boeing Sky Interior, large flight deck displays and other latest technology features.
The 737MAX-10, now moves into the detailed design phase prior to the start of production. The airplane now has more than 416 orders and commitments from 18 customers across the globe. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the 2020 timeframe.
