A Saratov Airlines AN-148 with 71 people onboard has crashed near the Argunovo village in Russia. The flight 6W 703 departed from Moscow-Domodedovo Airport at 14:21 LT and lost control and crashed 7 minutes after takeoff.
The plane crashed onto a snow-covered countryside ground in Stepanovskoe, about 50 miles southeast of Moscow in the Ramenskoe District.
According to local media, there was a distress call from the crew indicating a technical malfunction on board and informed their intention to make an emergency landing at Zhukovsky Airport, about 30 km left of their position. Within seconds of distress call all contact was lost.
FlightRadar24, shows the plane climbed 6,400 feet before dropping to 5,800 feet and climbing again and falling sharply within a minute.
