The investigation into the a death of Emirates flight attendant at Entebbe International Airport leads towards suicide, according to local authorities.
Elena Vassileva, 46, a Bulgarian National, was a member of Emirates cabin crew in a Boeing 777 flight #EK730. She opened the emergency exit door and jumped out while the flight EK730 was preparing to depart to Dubai from Entebbe on 14 March 2018. She sustaining life-threatening injuries and died on arrival to ‘Our Lady of Consolata Kisubi’ Hospital, in the outskirts of Entebbe.
Initial reports indicate that Vassileva had a verbal exchange with her colleagues on the plane before moving to the emergency exit door as passengers were preparing to board and deliberately jumped out.
“We have looked at it from every angle but what we have now is that she most likely committed suicide,” Kayima said…”Having worked as a cabin crew member for two decades, she knew what to do and what its implication would be” he added.
