China Southern Airlines has taken delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 Reg B-1242 at Guangzhou headquarters in China. The aircraft has joined the carrier’s fleet of 10 B787-8s.
The aircraft cabin is configured with 28 business and 269 economy class seats, featuring on-board WiFi connectivity available for all passengers.
The airline said that the aircraft powered by General Electric GEnx-1B engines will be deployed on long-haul routes.
China Southern has 19 787-9s on order to be delivered by 2020.
