Boeing says it will not deliver aircraft to Iran because of reimposed US sanctions on Iran.
The Boeing made the decision after U.S President Donald Trump’s decision to pull the 2015 nuclear accord between Iran and major powers that began relaxing sanctions on Iran.
Following the 2015 accord, Boeing and Airbus were given US Treasury licenses to conduct business in Iran under strict oversight. After the relaxation of sanctions, Boeing signed an agreement to sell 80 aircraft valued at USD 16.6 billion to Iran Air and 30 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft valued at USD 3 billion to Iran Aseman Airlines.
The withdrawal of 2015 nuclear accord, effectively cancels Airbus and Boeing’s licences to trade with Iran, and Boeing said it will not sell or deliver aircraft to Iran
