Airbus’s first A321neo aircraft from its U.S manufacturing site in Mobile, Alabama was handed over to Hawaiian Airlines.
This is the first time Airbus’s Mobile site has delivered an A320-family aircraft with “New Engine Option”., Up until now the mobile site delivered A320-family aircraft with only “Current Engine Option”.
Airbus’s Mobile facility delivered has delivered 72 aircraft in total, since its first aircraft delivered to JetBlue Airways in 2016.
The Hawaiian A321neo is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1000G high-bypass geared turbofan engines, which operates 15 percent more efficiently than A321ceo
Airbus says “The Sun Never Sets on Airbus Manufacturing,” Airbus aircraft are now produced around the clock, 24 hours a day, at facilities in Mobile, Alabama; Hamburg, Germany; Toulouse, France; and Tianjin, China.
