The first Boeing 787 of Biman Airlines on a taxi test and first (B1) flight at Paine Field today, 24 June 2018, tweeted Jeniffer Schuld.
The flag carrier of Bangladesh, Biman Airlines has a total of four Boeing 787-8s on order and the first two are scheduled to be delivered in August this year.
The Airline revealed that it will be using 24 Stelia Equinox 3D seats in business class in a 2-2-2 configuration, and 277 economy class seats on it new 787s.
The Biman currently operates two 777-200ERs and four 777-300ERs on its long-haul routes and has been expanding its network to Guangzhou, one of the most important business cities of China, the Sri Lanka capital, Colombo, and Maldives capital, Male.
The airline is yet to reveal the routes for its new Boeing 787s, but we believe, it will be to London Heathrow.
The new Dreamliners joins the Biman fleet in the year it celebrated its 46 anniversary, on January 4, 2018.
