Wijet, one of Europe’s oldest air taxi companies, has filed for administration for its UK subsidiary Blink.
The Luxembourg-headquartered company has shut down its UK operation, and sent out an email to employees. “Under the current circumstances there is no possibility to run a profitable business based on our sales and operations.”
The company acquired Uk based blink in 2016, but the Brexit turnout to be there poor investment. The companies co-founder Azoulay said “With $10 million in annual sales, and a fleet of 10 Mustangs, we decided to acquire it on the cheap,”, but “Unfortunately, it proved a poor investment.”
The company operates Citation Mustang and placed an order 18 HondaJet aircraft in early 2018, with a view to replacing the Mustang’s.
