Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) will be cancelling 289 domestic 787 flights from 23 to 31 July to carry out inspections on Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines. This is the third round of cancellation the airline announced after FAA directed Rolls Royce engine operates to carryout inspection following in-flight engine failures reported.
The first round of cancellation of 113 flights using Boeing 787s was between 6 to 12 July and the second round of additional 176 flights up to 22 July.
In total airline has been cancelling 619 flights between 6 July and 31 July.
ANA is the largest operator of Boeing 787s.
