Nepal Airlines’s first Airbus A330 Reg 9N-ALY ‘Annapurna’ departed to Delhi from Tribhuvan International Airport on 23 July 2018, at 04:25 pm local time for its proving flight., reported Aviation Nepal
The aircraft with CAA Nepal officials departed to Delhi, India in a test flight to obtain Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC). The aircraft will be put into commercial service on successful completion of test-flight.
The Airbus A330-243 named Annapurna landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on 28 June, 2018.
In April last year, Nepal Airlines signed a purchase agreement with Aircraft leasing company AAR Corp for two A330-200s priced $209.6-million. This was the largest-ever jet purchase deal in Nepal’s aviation history.
