Emirates airline has forced a family with a disable teen to get off the plane at Dubai airport.
A family boarded an Emirates flight from Dubai to France and asked the cabin crew, whether their son could sit next to an empty seat, in the event of epileptic seizure of her son. The cabin crew asked for a medical certificate, but when presented, the flight attendant had told that the decision had to be made by ground staff and asked the family to get off the plane. Staff also threatened to call the police if they didn’t leave.
In her tweet, the mother said “despite hold up in Dubai after being kicked off your flight you did not manage to get all our bags home with us! Great customer service. And of course 600€ transfer from Geneva to Lyon had to be paid by us!”
According to her tweet, the family was given a grotty hotel after 9 hours and didn’t pay for the transfer from Geneva to Lyon
Thanks @emirates for removing our family from your flight. Our son has epilepsy: we had told you, just come 14 hr from Melbourne, got his doctor on the phone & medical clearance while still on board. He has #autism & severe learning difficulties – v traumatic. pic.twitter.com/1JXw9A4EYM
