Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) rolled out the country’s first home made prototype T-625 helicopter.
The multi-role, medium-twin helicopter manufactured using only local resources has taken off for the first time on Thursday 6 September 2018, at the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) facility in Ankara’s Kahramankazan district.
The company intend to achieve initial production by 2021, and enter service with native-produced 1,370-shp TUSAS TS1400 engines by 2024.
!4 passenger and 2 crew 13,300-pound MTOW T-625 helicopter is expected to cruise at 150 knots, and fly up to 400 nm, with an achievable service ceiling of 20,000 feet.
