Indonesian investigators have recovered the flight data recorder and obtained ATC audio recording of Lion Air Flight JT610, that crashed last Monday, killing all 189 people onboard.
The rescue ships found the ‘black box’ on the seabed close to Jakarta on Thursday, four days after the Boeing 737 MAX 8 jet disappeared off radar 13 minutes after takeoff.
The flight data recorder(FDR) was recovered from a depth of 30 meters, and about 500 meters northwest from where the plane lost contact, said search and rescue agency head Muhammad Syaugi.
The cockpit voice recorder (CVR), is yet to be found, but is believed to be located on the seabed, some 35 meters (114 feet) deep.
According to FlightRadar24 the Lion Air jet experienced a 726-foot drop over 21 seconds.
