Air New Zealand has taken delivery of its first A321-200neo aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1133G-JM engines.
This A321-200neo is the first of five Airbus A320neo family aircraft confirmed to deliver to Air New Zealand through 2019 from Air Lease Corporation’s order book with Airbus.
Air New Zealand is investing NZD$2.8 billion in 13 Airbus neo aircraft (seven A321neos and six A320neos) to replace the A320 fleet that currently operates Tasman and Pacific Island services.
The airline’s first A320neo is scheduled to enter service in February 2019, while its second A321neo is also expected to enter service in November, 2019.
