Turkey’s Istanbul airport refused to fuel Iranian airliners on Friday, resulting the airliner to cancel one flight and reduce number of passengers on board in order to fly on less fuel.
Turkey’s Petrol Ofisi, a subsidiary of Vitol Investment Partnership Ltd, informed Iranian carriers via emails that it will not supply fuel from November without giving any reason. The Ofisi refused fuel Iranian airplanes in Turkey on Friday.
Iran’s Mahan Air, ATA Airlines, Qeshm Airlines and Iran Aseman Airlines all operate flights between Tehran and Istanbul,
The Association of Iranian Airlines (AIRA) says Turkey’s decision to refuse refueling Iranian aircraft will not be possible for the long-term continuation of today’s 200 weekly flights between the two countries.
