Austrian Airlines’s first rebranded A321 moved out of the paint shop Today.
Airline unveiled its new livery with a revised logo in May on its Boeing 777. The A321 is the second aircraft to adopt the new Austrian branding.
“All in all, it will take about seven years before all (85) Austrian Airlines aircraft will be outfitted with the new design,” says the
Austrian explains that they have modernized the arrow logo and the word mark. In the new livery, the red surface of the tail was extended down to the fuselage. “This makes the logo bigger and more dynamic,” says the airline.
Lufthansa focuses on standardising its paint finishes, relying long-term on white wings and engines. “In individual cases, this paint also facilitates an aircraft exchange,” said a Lufthansa spokeswoman.
