India’s largest low cost carrier (LCC), IndiGo has opted for another 125 Airbus A321neo, by converting its A320neo backlog to A321neos.
The airline in total had 405 A320neo and 25 A321noe family aircraft on order, of which 56 A320neos had been delivered, leaving a huge backlog.
With this revised order, IndiGo to receive 280 A320neos and 150 A321noes and its first A321neo is expected to join the airline’s fleet next month.
A321neo is the larger version of A320 family aircraft. The 37.57-metre-long A320neo single-isle has a maximum seating capacity 194 passengers, with a range of 6300km., and the 44.51-metre-long A321neo has a maximum seating capacity of 224 passengers, with a range of 7400km.
IndiGo has slots in London Gatwick airport, and may start a new route next summer.
