Qantas says to crackdown on overweight carry-on luggage that passengers use the online check-in loophole to board.
The airline allows a seven-kilogram for carry-on luggage on domestic and international flights. Anything more than the allowable weight, and does not meet other carry-on requirements have to be checked in.
However, some passengers do not declare and use the online check-in to take the overweight luggage on board.
A Qantas spokesman said in a statement “we’re renewing our focus to keep cabin baggage within the allowances and to ensure everyone has their fair share of space onboard.”
