Thai start-up carrier, Kom Airlines, signed a letter of intent to buy six Superjet 100 jets (SSJ100s) from Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company.
Sukhoi will begin the delivery in the first half 2019 one the Airlines firm the order.
The SSJ100 is the first passenger airplane built by Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union. The SSJ100 typically seats 87 to 98 passengers and is powered by two PowerJet SaM146 turbofan engines developed by a joint venture between French Safran and Russian NPO Saturn.
