Air Senegal’s first Airbus A330-900 has emerged from Airbus printshop. The African carrier placed an order for two A30-900s in mid-December 2017 and will be receiving the first on 31 Jan 2019.
Reconstruction of Senegal regional airports were completed on 21 December 2018, and is ready to welcome the two new generation Airbus A330neos.
The ‘Casamance’ (is the area of Senegal south of the Gambia including the Casamance River) is printed on the front side of the fuselage.
Air Senegal is the flag carrier of the Republic of Senegal was created in 2016 to replace bankrupt carrier Senegal Airlines under liquidation. On 29 April 2018, the airline received its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and commenced domestic flights on 14 May 2018 with a fleet of two brand new ATR72-600.
Currently it operates two Airbus A319 and two ATR72-600 to 7 destinations.
