Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair has been rated as the ‘worst airline’ for the sixth consecutive year by the UK by passengers, according to “Which?” Travel annual airline survey.
Based on the online survey carried by the travel website, Passengers gave the airline the lowest possible rating for boarding, seat comfort, food and drink, and cabin environment. It was also ranked far worse than its main rival, EasyJet. Ryanair achieved a customer score of 40%, compared to 63% for easyJet.
The Jet2 continues to impress customers with a score of 75% and high ratings for its service, seats and how it boards passengers.
Which? also reported “Ryanair, which carries more passengers than any other airline in Europe, is also now the airline most consumers refuse to fly with; of those who expressed a preference, 70% said they would not use Ryanair.”
Ryanair, however, dismissed the survey as “unrepresentative and worthless”.
