The final scheduled passenger flight on a Boeing 727 has taken place from Zahedan Airport in Iran.
The historic domestic Flight EP851 between Zahedan and Tehran, operated by Iran Aseman Airlines landed at Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport on Sunday 13 January.
The 38-year-old Boeing 727-200 Advanced, Reg EP-ASB, was the last aircraft to be flown as a passenger plane with a commercial airline.
The Boeing 727 model debuted in 1963 entered service with Eastern Air Lines in February 1964. Production ended in 1984 with 1831 aircraft delivered,
